| Dodo Books has been set up by Anthony Cheke and Ruth Ashcroft of
The Inner Bookshop to make available publishers' overstocks and remainders that would
otherwise be lost to natural history book lovers. Both Ruth and Anthony are trained in
ecology and will make informed and hopefully interesting choices from the range of books
on offer in the trade - they also have twenty years experience of
running a bookshop. Anthony was involved for many years in conservation and wildlife research on Indian Ocean islands, and has added a section on the history, travel, life and literature of the island countries of Mauritius (the Dodo's original home), Réunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, the Comoros and the Maldives - and the various scattered atolls and in/on the ocean itself. The cartoons on the web pages are by Lucy and Anthony Cheke.
